What is Lilypad?
Lilypad is a non-profit, volunteer-organized playspace, thrift store and community supporting families. Our goal is to create access to affordable play and sustainable options for your growing babies and kids.
Our offerings:
-
All playgroups are free for first-time visitors. Playgroups are for YOU! Take your shoes off, enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the children explore. Stop in at any point during playgroup and stay for as long or as little as you like.
Broad Street offers ALL AGES groups for 0-4 and BABY groups for ages 0-24m year-round. Lombard offers BABY groups for 0-18 months from September through May.
-
Lilypad Thrift is open at 1234 S Broad Street in the basement. Head to our schedule page for hours. The shop sells items from post-partum and beyond including clothing, accessories, toys, games, gear and more for kids up to age 10!
We also sell a small selection online. All orders are for PICK UP only during playgroups at Broad Street. As a very small organization shipping is not currently offered.
All inventory is donated by our community!
-
About one Saturday a month Lilypad hosts a Sidewalk Sale where we bring as many items as we can from the thrift store outside for easy and spacious shopping. We will announce dates a few weeks prior to each event.
Sidewalk sales are run by volunteers, if this interests you, please reach out!
-
Two times a year we will host a large pop-up consignment sale at Old Pine Community Center. This differs from our thrift store as all product comes from 70-80 local parent consignors. These are 2-day events and are super fun to shop and volunteer at!
Dates of sales will be announced a few months ahead of each sale. Keep an eye on our website for updates.
