Since our thrift store opened in 2022 we have helped over 55,000 items find new homes

At Lilypad, sustainability is woven into our mission. Our upstairs playspace gives families a joyful, affordable place to gather, while our downstairs thrift store keeps gently used baby and kid items in circulation — reducing waste.
Everything we sell is donated by our community, and every purchase helps fund the playspace upstairs.

Thank you for making this ecosystem thrive. Together, we’re creating a space that nurtures children, families and the planet.

In 2025, Lilypad Thrift sold over 8,700 pieces of clothing + 3,800 toys*

CityKids

CityKids started as a dream, a fundraiser for a family-centered space; our first sale was in 2014, and two years later, Lilypad opened our doors as a playspace on Broad Street. Lilypad has since moved to 1841 E Passyunk Ave to a larger space!

CityKids helps local families sell and recycle 1,000s and 1,000’s of children’s items, keeping money in the community and toys, clothes, gear and more out of landfills. All unsold items go directly to local charities.

Help us out!
Consider volunteering at CityKids or at our playspace as a host to help us in our mission to grow a sustainable local community for families in Philadelphia!
